Built in 1766 by John Harris, Jr., founder of Harrisburg, and remodeled in 1863 by Simon Cameron, President Lincoln’s 1st Secretary of War, the Mansion is a Victorian showplace. Operated by The Historical Society of Dauphin County as a Museum, it contains many original Cameron furnishings and a few Harris artifacts. Tours by appointment only; call a week in advance for reservations.
